A signature work in Dance Theatre of Harlem’s repertoire, Firebird reimagines the beloved tale of love and transformation through a vibrant Caribbean lens. Drawing inspiration from the production’s rich choreography, iconic score, and breathtaking design, the creative pieces were crafted to reflect the energy, elegance, and enduring impact of this extraordinary performance. The design approach honored both the production’s legacy and its contemporary vitality.
Designed to Resonate
The visual system seamlessly integrated Washington Performing Arts’ seasonal branding by incorporating its signature sound wave motif, creating a cohesive connection across the organization's 2026/27 campaign. Rather than competing with the striking photography, the design embraced the vivid orange backdrop of the original photo shoot, allowing it to merge naturally with the season’s color palette. The result is a composition that feels both unmistakably Firebird and unmistakably Washington Performing Arts.

Every design decision was guided by the same goal: to create promotional materials that amplify the performance without overshadowing it.
